·   Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co., Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $29,665,942 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide systems engineering services to support the integration of the TRIDENT II (D5) missile and reentry subsystems into the common missile compartment for the Ohio SSBN replacement program.  Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif. (53.38 percent); Cape Canaveral, Fla. (40.02 percent); Magna, Utah (3.54 percent); Groton, Conn. (1.55 percent); Olathe, Kan. (0.67 percent); Melbourne, Fla. (0.50 percent); Bangor, Wash. (0.27 percent); Dallas, Texas (0.03 percent); and Port Washington, N.Y. (0.01 percent).  Work is expected to be completed Sept. 30, 2011.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was sole-source.  Strategic Systems Programs, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Honeywell International, Inc., Defense & Space Electronic Systems, Clearwater, Fla., was awarded a $16,356,958 contract modification which will provide 203 embedded GPS inertial navigation systems for the Army CH47F and AH-64D platforms.  At this time, the entire amount has been obligated.  647 AESS/PK, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

 

·   ITT Corp., Systems Division, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., was awarded a $14,454,147 contract modification which will provide for ITT Systems to design, procure, build, install and test telemetry instrumentation at Kennedy Space Center.  At this time, the entire amount has been obligated.  SMC/LRSW/PK, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Sauer, Inc., East Jacksonville, Fla., is being awarded $15,777,700 for firm-fixed-price task order #0002 under previously awarded contract (N40080-10-D-0490) for design and construction of the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense facility expansion at Naval Support Facility, Dahlgren.  Work will be performed in Dahlgren, Va., and is expected to be completed by June 2012.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  Five proposals were received for this task order.  The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Aerospace Systems, Battle Management and Engagement Systems Division, Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded a $9,500,000 modification to previously awarded contract (N61331-05-C-0049) for continued post-delivery technical support (PDTS) and provisioned item order support for the Airborne Laser Mine Detection System (ALMDS) units.  This modification is to increase the contract ceiling and period of performance for the contractor to provide PDTS of ALMDS low-rate initial production units.  The PDTS support will consist of the following:  modify and/or repair delivered hardware; modify or build new ALMDS system components to resolve producibility, obsolescence, and end-of-life issues; update the technical data package with respect to the changes implemented; provide maintenance of delivered hardware as well as provide software maintenance required; and provide the software upgrades and modifications required to optimize the performance of ALMDS.  The modification will also  provide required engineering services consisting of systems engineering; configuration and data management; quality assurance; manufacturing; test and evaluation; generating of presentations, white papers, trade studies; and development, tracking and updating of metrics.  Work will be performed in Melbourne, Fla., and is expected to be completed by December 2010.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division, Panama City, Fla., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Jacobs Technology, Inc., Tullahoma, Tenn., was awarded a $16,254,943 contract modification which will provide technical, engineering and acquisition support at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla, and various other tenant originations.  This contract will increase work requirement.  At this time, $24,404,511 has been obligated.  AAC/PKES, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Hellfire Systems, LLC, Orlando, Fla., was awarded on June 18 a $22,024,535 firm-fixed-price contract for fiscal 2010 option exercise for a total quantity of 331 Hellfire II missiles.  Work is to be performed in Orlando, Fla., with an estimated completion date of Sept. 30, 2013.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  U.S. Army Contracting Command AMCOM Contracting Center., Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Honeywell International, Inc., Tempe, Ariz., is being awarded a $34,897,489 ceiling-priced performance-based logistics contract for support for auxiliary power units for the F/A-18, P-3, S-3, C-2, and KC-130 F/R; F404 main fuel controls used on the F/A-18 aircraft; the P-3 engine driven compressor; and support for the Australian F/A-18 Super Hornet.  This announcement includes the government of Australia (less than 1 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales program.  Work will be performed in Cherry Point, N.C. (85 percent), and Jacksonville, Fla. (15 percent); and work is expected to be completed by June 2011.  Contract funds will not expire before the end of the fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively awarded.  The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Florida Governmental Utility Authority, Longwood, Fla., is being awarded a maximum $200,716,544 firm-fixed-price with prospective redetermination contract for assumption of ownership, operation and maintenance of water and wastewater distribution systems at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.  Other location of performance is MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.  Using service is Air Force.  There were originally 750 proposals solicited with four responses.  This contract is for a 50 year period.  The date of performance completion is February 2062.  The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting.

 

·   The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded an $80,914,538 firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for logistics support services for the Navy’s C-40A aircraft fleet.  Services to be provided include commercial depot support and site support at Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville, Fla.; NAS Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas; NAS North Island, Calif.; and NAS Oceana, Va..  Work will be performed in Atlanta, Ga. (50 percent); Fort Worth, Texas (30 percent); Seattle, Wash. (5 percent); Jacksonville, Fla. (5 percent); North Island, Calif. (5 percent); and Oceana, Va. (5 percent), and will be completed in July 2015.  This contract was competitively procured via an electronic request for proposals and three offers were received.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Philadelphia Gear Corp., King of Prussia, Pa., is being awarded an $80,240,784 firm-fixed-price contract for main reduction gears for DDG 51 (Arleigh Burke) Class Guided Missile Destroyers.  This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $425,955,513.  Work will be performed in Santa Fe Springs, Calif. (79.2 percent); Kansas City, Mo. (7.2 percent); St. Augustine, Fla. (3.6 percent); Westminster, Mass. (3.2 percent); Middlesex, England, U.K. (2.2 percent); Latrobe, Pa. (2.1 percent); Pewaukee, Wis. (1.4 percent); and Erie, Pa. (1.1 percent), and is expected to be completed by July 2013.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was competitively procured under full and open competition via the Federal Business Opportunities Web site and two offers were received.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Virtual Imaging Inc., Deerfield, Fla., is being awarded a maximum $15,000,000 fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract for radiology systems, subsystems and components.  There are no other locations of performance.  Using services are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies.  The original proposal was Web solicited with 43 responses.  The date of performance completion is June 18, 2011.  The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Lockheed Martin, Mission Systems and Sensors (LM MS2), Moorestown, N.J., is being awarded a $131,622,735 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-09-C-5101) for production of four multi-mission signal processor equipment sets, four ballistic missile defense 4.0.1 equipment sets, and six Aegis weapon system upgraded equipment sets to support fielding Aegis modernization capabilities.  Work will be performed in Moorestown, N.J. (82 percent); Clearwater, Fla. (13 percent); and Eagan, Minn. (5 percent), and is expected to be completed by September 2013.  Contract funds in the amount of $9,124,835 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Ft Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $6,938,513 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-award-fee contract (N00019-07-C-0097) for the procurement of diminishing manufacturing sources parts and common components in support of Joint Strike Fighter low rate initial production Lot 5-8 aircraft.  Work will be performed in Ft. Worth, Texas (34 percent); Melbourne, Fla. (33 percent); and El Segundo, Calif. (33 percent); and is expected to be completed in June 2011.  Contract funds in the amount of $2,950,035 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

 

·   R.C. Construction Co., Inc., Greenwood, Miss., was awarded on June 4 a $37,517,930 firm-fixed-price contract to construct a new taxiway extension to include expansion joints, sealants, lighting, etc.; a new aircraft parking apron to include expansion joints, lighting, electrical, communications, etc.;  and a new load area to include expansion joints, lighting, electrical, communications, etc.  The project will also include a load crew shelter, flare facility, and a munitions holding area.  Work is to be performed at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., with an estimated completion date of July 15, 2011.  Bids were solicited via the Federal Business Opportunities Web site with eight bids received.  U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, Mobile, Ala., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Knight's Armament Co., Titusville, Fla., was awarded on June 4 a $9,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 803 M110 semi-automatics sniper weapon systems.  Work is to be performed in Titusville, Fla., with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2011.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  TACOM Contracting Center, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.

 

·   BAE Systems, Technology Solutions & Service, Rockville, Md. (N65236-10-D-6824); Science Applications International Corp., San Diego, Calif. (N65236-10-D-6825); and SkillStorm Government Integrated Services, dba SGIS, Tampa, Fla. (N65236-10-D-6826), are each being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price multiple award contract for Marine Corps Mass Notification System support services.  Each contractor will be awarded $8,500 at the time of award.  Services and materials that may be ordered under these contracts include site surveys, integration, installation and technical support.  These contracts are for a base period of one year and four additional option years.  When combined, the aggregate value of all task orders awarded over the life of these three contracts will be approximately $45,329,303.  These three contractors will compete for the task orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contract.  Work will be performed in Japan (33 percent); California (20 percent); North Carolina (16 percent); Iraq (6 percent); South Carolina (5 percent); Hawaii (4 percent); Virginia (4 percent); Arizona (2 percent); Korea (2 percent); Georgia (2 percent); Washington, D.C. (2 percent); Florida (2 percent); Guam (2 percent); and is expected to be completed by June 2011.  If all options are exercised, work could continue until June 2015.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The multiple award contracts were competitively procured by full and open competition via the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command E-commerce and the Federal Business Opportunities Web sites, with six offers received.  The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic is the contracting activity.

 

·   Sunrise Beach Corp., Allen, Texas, was awarded on June 3 a $59,471,900 fixed-price-labor hours for aircraft paint and maintenance services for the 1108th Aviation Classification Repair Activity Depot for the Mississippi Army National Guard located at Gulfport, Miss.  Work is to be performed in Gulfport, Miss. (57 percent); Birmingham, Ala. (7 percent); Salisbury, N.C. (6 percent); Eastover, S.C. (5 percent); Frankfort, Ky. (5 percent); Smyrna, Tenn. (5 percent); Brooksville, Fla. (4 percent); Jackson, Tenn. (4 percent); Saint Croix, Virgin Islands (4 percent); Dobbins, Ga. (2 percent); Fort Rucker, Ala. (1 percent); Hope Hull, Ala. (1 percent); and Mobile, Ala. (1 percent), with an estimated completion date of May 31, 2015.  Bids were solicited on the World Wide Web with three bids received.  National Guard Bureau, U.S. Property and Fiscal Office for Mississippi, Jackson, Miss., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Lockheed Martin Electronics and Fire Control, Orlando, Fla., was awarded on May 26 a $7,888,280 firm-fixed-price contract.  This contract is for the reset support to include inspecting, refurbishment, and removal of sand, dust, and foreign material intrusion to the Apache modernized and legacy target acquisition designation sight assembly and pilot night vision sensor assembly system.  Work is to be performed in Orlando, Fla., with an estimated completion date of Feb. 28, 2012.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  U.S. Army Contracting Command, AMCOM Contracting Center, CCAM-AP-B, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Lockheed Martin, Simulation, Training and Support, Orlando, Fla., was awarded on May 26 a $5,868,182 firm-fixed-price contract for field and depot support for the AN/USM-401 (v) electronic quality assurance test equipment.  Work is to be performed in Orlando, Fla., with an estimated completion date of May 24, 2015.  One bid was solicited with one bid received. CECOM Acquisition Center, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity.

 

·   CSI Armoring, Inc., Miami, Fla. (H92222-10-D-0020; $42,986,295), and The Armored Group, LLC, Phoenix, Ariz. (H92222-10-D-0021; $44,439,516), have each been awarded a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for an initial delivery order of four armored Hilux vehicles and accessories at a value of $525,340.  The potential dollar amount of this award is $44,439,516.  The contract minimum in accordance with the request for proposal is four vehicles.  All future vehicle delivery orders will be competed between these two companies.  A total of 77 vehicles may be purchased under two multi-award contracts.  The period of performance of this contract is May 28, 2010 to May 27, 2011.  U.S. Special Operations Command is the contracting activity.

 

·   Harris Corp., Melbourne, Fla., was awarded on May 28 a $6,219,750 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of controlled image base one-meter and five-meter products produced from WorldView satellite imagery.  Work is to be performed in Melbourne, Fla., with an estimated completion date of May 27, 2011.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, ACSM, Saint Louis, Mo., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Austal USA, Mobile, Ala., is being awarded a $99,557,548 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-08-C-2217) for long lead time material (LLTM) for ships four and five of the Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV) program.  This contract provides LLTM for main propulsion engines, aluminum, waterjets, reduction gears, generators and other components to support construction of JHSV ships four and five, commencing in fall 2010.  Work will be performed in Detroit, Mich. (38 percent); Chesapeake, Va. (18 percent); Henderson, Australia (13 percent); Gulfport, Miss. (10 percent); Ravenswood, W.Va. (9 percent); Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. (4 percent); Mobile, Ala. (3 percent); Auburn, Ind. (2.6 percent); Winter Haven, Fla. (1 percent); Gardena, Calif. (1 percent); and Davenport, Iowa (0.4 percent), and is expected to be completed by December 2011.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Harris Government Communications Systems Division, Palm Bay, Fla., was awarded a $23,682,238 contract which will provide hardware and software upgrades for the counter communications systems Block 10 pre-planned product improvement.  At this time, $10,823,924 has been obligated.  SSSW/PK, El Segundo, Calif., is the contracting activity.

 

·   General Dynamics Land Systems, Inc., Woodbridge, Va., is being awarded a $22,256,798 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed fee contract for the MK46 MOD 2 gun weapon systems (GWS) and associated hardware, spares and services in support of the landing platform dock and littoral combat ship class ships.  The MK46 MOD 2 GWS contains a 30mm single barrel, open bolt, dual feed, electrically powered, chain-driven automatic cannon.  The system uses a forward-looking infrared sensor, a low-light television camera, and eye-safe laser range finder with a closed-loop tracking system to optimize accuracy against small, high-speed surface targets.  Work will be performed in Woodbridge, Va. (69 percent); Tallahassee, Fla. (12 percent); Lima, Ohio (12 percent); Westminster, Md. (4 percent); Scranton, Pa. (2 percent); and Sterling Heights, Mich. (1 percent). Work is expected to be completed by May 2013.  Contract funds in the amount of $812,412 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

·   L-3 Communications, Inc., Mount Laurel, N.J., is being awarded $7,784,090 for task order #0105 under previously awarded contract (M67854-02-A-9010) to provide programmatic acquisition, logistics, and administrative support to the program manager, Training Systems (PM TRASYS), located at the Central Florida Research Park, Orlando, Fla., in response to the internal reorganization of PM TRASYS and expanding training systems requirements for individual and collective training systems, and program and administration support.  As part of PM TRASYS’s increasing role supporting Marine Corps Systems Command’s and the operational forces’ training needs, PM TRASYS requires additional technical support services to plan, field and sustain training systems Marine Corps-wide.  This effort will help to ensure planned and unplanned funding allocations are effectively and efficiently utilized through a programmatic approach with improved investment strategies to obtain the highest quality training available.  Administrative, logistics and acquisition initiatives are in response to the increasing support requirements centered on simulated and virtual training environments’ infusing of new technologies with established procedures.  PM TRASYS support includes providing added program, logistics and administrative support for the determination of training methodologies, implementation and technical documentation for acquisition of training and training systems.  Work will be performed in Marine Corps Command organizations in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed in June 2011.  Contract funds in the amount of $6,483,751 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Marine Corps System Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.

 

·   Protective Products Enterprises, Sunrise, Fla., was awarded on May 24 a $35,850,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 60,000 improved outer tactical vests in universal camouflage pattern, “IAW Product Description No. FQ/PD 07-05E,” dated April 23, 2010.  The vests are to be delivered within 120 calendar days after the first article testing approval letter.  Work is to be performed Sunrise, Fla., with an estimated completion date of Nov. 27, 2010.  Eight bids were solicited with two bids received.  Research, Development & Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity.

 

·      Melbourne-based Harris Corp. has won a contract worth $140 million to produce next-generation technology for ground-based stations of NASA's communications-satellite network. Harris snagged the deal from General Dynamics Corp., lead contractor for NASA's satellite-modernization work. The five-year deal calls for Harris to replace existing ground equipment used by NASA's Tracking and Data Relay System with advanced computers, high-speed modems, signal processors and other equipment. The company will also boost the network's reliability, efficiency and maintenance while reducing costs.
