Defense Reinvestment Grant

The Defense Reinvestment Grant program is designed to provide support to defense-dependent communities for a reinforcement of positive relations between the community and the defense facility, to help communities diversify their economy, as well as to implement base reuse programs. The Program encourages communities to analyze their economic reliance on defense expenditures and to formulate specific plans to respond to the nation's defense priorities. The Program is administered by Enterprise Florida's Florida Defense Alliance.

Military Base protection fund

Florida's military base retention programs (288.980 F.S.) are intended to provide the State with the necessary means to assist communities with military installations that could potentially be adversely affected by federal base realignment or closure actions. The military base retention programs encourage Florida communities to initiate a coordinated program of response and plan of action in advance of future actions of the federal Base Realignment and Closure Commission. These funds are not managed by Enterprise Florida Inc.
